“Ohio juries, today, are increasingly uncomfortable with the death penalty and Ohio prosecutors are seeking it less and less; however, there are around 20 men on death row who are at the end of their appeals process,” states the Inter Community Justice and Peace Center (ICJP). The center, located in Cincinnati, goes on to report, “At the same time that there are growing concerns around wrongful convictions, the disparities within the system and the cost of the death penalty, and we are seeing more execution dates being set.”
