Congregation launches 2012-2013
Annual Fund Drive
Amid the still-shaky economy and now, with so many reeling from parish closings and mergers, are you ready for some good news? The Ursuline Sisters are still here. We are here and still committed to helping wherever we’re needed. And with myriad challenges besetting our city and church, we think that’s good news.
We continue to serve, not only in our storied ministries of education and faith formation, but also in meeting needs spawned by poverty, social service cutbacks, shifting parish boundaries and personnel cuts.
We recognize in these unsettling times a special call to engender hope, and to be God’s compassion in the world. To do that, we need your help. With the start of our new fiscal year, we launch our 2012-2013 Annual Fund campaign with a goal of $350,000. Monies generated will help sustain our ministry efforts to provide:
* Catholic education, sacramental preparation and faith formation;
* Support for those coping with change and loss, and comfort for the sick and dying;
* Assistance to homeless women and women reentering society after incarceration;
* Tutoring to reinforce classroom learning and improve school performance; and
* Adult GED training.
The Annual Fund also assists us in caring for our retired and infirm sisters who helped forge the Ursulines’ 160-year legacy of service in the diocese and beyond. Your support will assist those who ministered many years for little or no compensation.
We are so grateful for your past support. Please consider making a contribution to this year’s Annual Fund campaign. Join us in reaching out to our brothers and sisters in need.
