Sister Maureen McCarthy will enlighten and inspire women of all ages when she presents "A Day of Reflection: Women of the Bible' Wednesday, Sept. 29, from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the Ursuline Educational Center/Motherhouse. All Ursuline Institute of Learning tutors are experienced and certified in education, with many having master’s degrees in their areas of specialty. Ursuline Sisters from North America and beyond converged on Cleveland the first weekend in July to celebrate their vocations and renew their spirits as they move into the future, continuing to serve as willed by the Holy Spirit. It can take months to arrange a Mass through a parish but the Ursuline Sisters offer immediate prayer for Friends of Saint Angela in our Eucharistic Celebrations. Perpetual membership in this program promises prayer for a lifetime and beyond.

More than 260 friends and supporters reveled in the fun of the Kentucky Derby as the Ursuline Sisters honored Peter and Rita Carfagna with the congregation's 2010 Merici Award. The Carfagnas received the award in recognition of their longstanding support of the Ursuline Mission and Sisters. Peter credits the Ursuline Sisters for educating the most important women in his life, including his wife, Rita, and his mother, along with his sister, Rosemarie, who is a member of our Ursuline congregation. He also notes the rich spirituality--much borne out of the Ursulines' influence--in his and his family member's lives.
