 Please note: Our license stipulates we can accept only patients who are 'sisters' or 'nuns' belonging to a congregation of women religious.

The Ursuline Sisters' Saint Angela Center (SAC) for women religious is a state-licensed, skilled care facility staffed and equipped for all levels of long-term care and short-term recovery and rehabilitation. Located on the serene Ursuline Educational Center/Motherhouse property, the Saint Angela Center is easily accessible from both Fairmount Boulevard and Lander Road.

SAC's home-like atmosphere is tailored to the lives of sisters. Two beautifully maintained courtyards give residents the opportunity to enjoy nature and the outdoors. Our parlor and dining room provide comfortable spaces to visit and share meals. An indoor aviary provides a delightful show of sprightly birds.

Sisters enjoy a spiritual home with daily Mass in our Motherhouse chapel televised into the SAC chapel and into residents' rooms; Friday Scripture readings; First Fridays; Rosary and other religious programming. SAC also presents a wealth of life-giving opportunities for sisters to take pleasure in entertainment, board games, Wii, service projects, art projects, outings and more. A piano and seating area overlooking one of our courtyards invites sisters to play and sing along. Sisters also enjoy swimming in the Ursuline College pool, which is a short walk or ride "neXt door."

Our SAC Administrator, Kathy Bockanic, RN, MSN, LNHA, takes great care in maintaining a friendly and professional family atmosphere comforting to residents and encouraging joy in their daily lives.

While all residents are now Ursuline Sisters, we welcome women religious from other congregations who are in need of the type of care the Saint Angela Center provides. State licensing allows us to accept Medicare, Medicaid and insurance on behalf of those who live and receive services here. Private pay is also accepted.
