The Ursuline Sisters of Cleveland has an opening for a part-time Archivist Assistant to join our organization. This part-time position (16 hours per week) will work under the supervision of the director of archives to support the Ursuline Sisters’ mission to transform lives through contemplation, justice and compassion.

In this role, the candidate will aid the director with processing and organizing documents and other items that date to the sisters’ arrival in Cleveland from France in 1850. The archives also includes an extensive collection on Sr. Dorothy Kazel, who was martyred in El Salvador in 1980.
The candidate must be detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational and research skills.
A bachelor of arts in a related field of study is required; a master’s in library information science (MLIS) or a related field is preferred but not required. Archival work experience and familiarity with religious life/congregations of religious is preferred but not required.
