Rejoice Always, Never Cease Praying, Render Constant Thanks; such is God’s Will for You in Christ Jesus.
~Thessalonians 5:16

It is the season when we often pay more attention to being thankful. Yet in the quote from Thessalonians we are invited by God to be thankful always in all circumstances.

I first became aware of the amazing impact of living that quote from Bro. David. Brother David Steindl-Rast, OSB was the instrument God used to help me wake up to that reality. That was some 50+ years ago. He has practiced and lived and taught Gratitude for many decades. I had the wonderful opportunity to be in his presence twice in my life… one for a whole week. He taught me to live from a Grateful heart and if I am not grateful for someone, some circumstance, etc. I will be complaining about it. I have found that to be true. Do I do it always… no but I am forever grateful to be reminded over and over for I have experienced the power to live the Gospel of Love.
