Back to weekly reflections
Contemplation, Contemplation, Contemplation
Be Still and Know that I am God!
Be Still and Know that I am!
Be Still and Know!
Be Still!
As I have mentioned in previous reflections the Ursuline Mission is to Transform Society through Contemplation, Justice and Compassion. A few weeks ago a Contemplative Week long retreat was held for the Sisters at Merici. Nicki Verploegen facilitated the retreat. It was a deep Blessing! Nicki presented a sixfold path to Contemplative Consciousness. The path includes Slowing down; Sharing our stories; Stillness; Solitude; Surrender; Solidarity. Each day we had input on the theme, plenty of time for reflection and time to share.
I have been wondering how I could share Contemplation with others. Nicki has put this retreat in a book, “Organic Spirituality; a Six fold Path for Contemplative Living.” It has been an answer to my prayer! I highly recommend it to those seeking a deeper walk with God. And great to do with a group over time!
And from Nicki:
If Spirituality is growing intimacy with God, it essentiality requires slowing down. Reflection requires a gentle pace internally and externally.
Abiding in the Spirit means dwelling with Gratitude in an attempt to be present to God. We are awakened to the mystery that leads us to a more authentic connection with ourselves,
