Good news for a fractured world
Recently I've received the following from Richard Rohr's Community; the Center for Action and Contemplation.
“Our world is becoming increasingly fractured. The signs are all around - us rising injustice, the misuse of power, ecological disruption, strained relationships, and a tendency to retreat into fear, cynicism and isolation.
The gospel offers us another way. The Good News of Scripture gives us vision of wholeness. It reveals a reality where all life is sacred, precious and connected. It nurtures a new way of seeing, where the power of love overcomes the love of power. It calls us to become instruments of love and healing in our beautiful but fractured world.”
As we are faced with the challenges in our world, I find it helpful to remember what David Hawkin in his book Power vs. Force teaches.
If 5 - 7% of the population resonates with a particular frequency there is a change in all. I find that particularly amazing and have seen results. May we consciously and lovingly choose daily and often throughout the day to be peace, love, joy and gratitude. May we encourage others to do so as well.
Let us be kind, gentle and honest with ourselves. This is a grand and glorious opportunity to recreate ourselves and our world in wonderful and beautiful ways.
