THANKSGIVING
This month of November gives us an opportunity to be grateful for all the gifts and blessings of this time, of this year, of our lives. It is an invitation to open our hearts with thoughts to God’s graced moments. As you pray this prayer of thankfulness, let it be an invitation to spend some time sharing the stories of God’s grace and your grateful heart with those you love and with whom you share this beautiful life. Perhaps, you can take some time at your Thanksgiving celebration to invite gratitude into the midst of your gathering.
Lord God,
Our hearts are crowded with gratitude as we celebrate the feast of Thanksgiving.
We are awakened by this feast and share with great joy and eagerness the opportunity to say “thank you” to you, our God, for all that we have been given.
We pause now and, in silent prayer for your gratuitous love and continued presence with us. The generosity of your gifts is the support and the grace of our lives.
We also thank our family and friends for gifts -especially for the gifts of love and affection that we have freely shared.
We are thankful for all who are present in our lives, who are present at this our feast as well as for all those who have labored in love in order to bring this dinner to our table.
May you, our God, bless us this Thanksgiving and all who shall share it
in your holy name.

“Cry out to God with all your heart, for without doubt you will see marvelous things, if you direct everything to the praise and glory of God in gratitude and love. Also, let them hold this as most certain, that they will never be abandoned in their needs. God will provide for them wondrously.
How many lords, queens and other great persons there are who, with the many riches and possessions they have, will not be able to find true comfort in their needs. And, yet the little ones, poor as they are, will find consolation and comfort.” Angela
What would you say to Jesus this Thanksgiving? What is your prayer?
