Blessings Abound

As we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving, may your arms be open wide to whatever blessings walk into them. There are those blessings we welcome because we recognize them with a sharp inhale of, “Yes!” There are those we resist because we do not perceive them as such…yet. And what about those blessings that are so simple and every day that we forget them almost as quickly as we know them?

May the blessings that delight you spill over as grace into other lives. May the blessings that are confounding stay with you long enough to blossom into boundless grace. And may the profound blessings of breath and bread, water and wine, hearth and home teach you to open your arms for the next…and the next…and the next…
