Celebrating 175 years of joyful service!
In remembering my grade school years at St. Jerome Parish grade school, in the 50’s- 60’s I will never forget Sr. Dominic, who was my teacher for 4th and 5th grade. She made learning so much fun!
I remember one day for art she gave us each a Holy Card and we had to duplicate it bigger on another piece of paper. Mine was a very fancy fountain with water streaming from it. To this day when I hear scripture or read about God’s graces flowing from a fountain, or the never-ending flowing of God’s love; I remember the Holy Card picture Sr. Dominic had me draw.

Remembering with great fondness the Sunday afternoon visits at the Motherhouse, placing folding chairs in a big circle, and visiting with Sr. Mary Monica, now Sr. Kathleen Foster, where she was a postulant starting her vocation to the Ursuline Sisters of Cleveland. At that time she could not attend our wedding , April 25, 1964, so we brought the wedding party to her. Upon leaving her, and driving out that long driveway, waving goodbye, I could not help but think, that we, too, were starting in our vocation of married life. God's hand has truly been present in both our lives for which we are most thankful.
