How is Christ making all things new? In the reading from Revelation for the Fifth Sunday of Easter, he tells us to “Behold” what he is doing. However, when I look around, I must admit I fail to see it. At least, to my natural eyes, the evidence is not, well, evident. How does God “wipe every tear from their eyes”?

Perhaps the answer is in the Gospel reading from John: “Love one another as I have loved you.” Christ chooses to work through us. We are his body on earth. When we love as he loves, we will wipe tears from each other’s eyes. Let us love one another as Christ loves us. He’s counting on us.
