A reflection on the prayer Jesus taught us…

Our Father

Having experienced the Divine power as nurturing, as gentle, as tender, as delicate, maybe “loving One” would also be a way to call on our God. Divine Mystery who loves us – help.

who art in heaven.

So where exactly is heaven? So far, astronauts have not come across God “up there.” Maybe “heaven” is within the universe, within the earth, within the vast variety of creatures, within the human heart. Is the Christ the very heart beat of all life? Do we want God to be this ridiculously close to us? Mother, bring us to fulfillment, to fruitfulness, to completion in your love. Now, we know and see foretastes. May our hope open to fullness.

Hallowed be thy name.

Is the movement of evolution the dynamic power of fulfillment to Omega?

How can we not dance, sing, praise to be part of on going creation? In your power we live, breathe, move.

Thy Kingdom come.

Focus your power in us. Make us useful as compassionate creators of harmony, connecting people in friendship, in peace, and in healthy relationships with the four-legged, the earth.

Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Use our hands and hearts - instruments to nurture and allow life to grow, to flourish in newness, to be open to transformation.

Give us this day our daily bread.

Give what we need in wisdom and food for the work of generating and opening ways for your life, light, and energy to

heal the earth, the four legged, and the human species.

Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.

Break the chains of fear that bind us as we release the tyranny we hold over others. Help us cultivate kindness.

Lead us not into temptation.

Don’t let us become forgetful of our call to witness your presence within all that is. Keep us from being fearful and unaware of your presence.

Deliver us from evil.

Help us bear fruit that is life giving through the power of your love energy.

For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory.

are yours now and forever.

May we sing the song of beauty, truth and goodness that you are glorified through all ages in renewal and regeneration of life. Amen
