Biography

(Formerly Sister Agnes Mary)

Ann Winters responded to the call from God to bring Jesus to people and people to Jesus in 1955 in the Ursuline Community. From 1961-1981 she embarked on this way of life and ministry, teaching Latin and religion and conducting retreats and prayer groups at Villa Angela, Sacred Heart and Beaumont. In the 1980s she served in pastoral ministry at St. Gregory the Great and Christ the King parishes which included providing House of Prayer experiences. After additional studies in Art Therapy, Reiki and Eden Energy Medicine, she began serving at the Ursuline Sophia Center, ministering to individuals seeking healing and wholeness.

Retired from active ministry today, she believes her call is to be consciously “active” in the Ursuline Mission … ‘to transform society through contemplation, justice and compassion.’
