Biography
Sister Joan entered the Ursulines in August 1981 following a brief career at General Electric, Nela Park. After completing her undergraduate degree from Ursuline in 1987, she accepted an assignment to serve at Beaumont School. Through her 17-year tenure at Beaumont Sister Joan served in many capacities – as math teacher, computer programmer, assistant treasurer and, finally, treasurer. She left Beaumont in 2004 to assume the position of congregational Treasurer and CFO for the Ursulines, a post she held until 2021. She currently serves as Director of Finance for the Women Religious Archives Collaborative.
