Biography
Sister Sheila Marie serves as spiritual companion to young adults and tutors students at Ursuline College and Beaumont. She has taught at Beaumont School, developed curriculum related to nonviolence, and served in parish religious education. She was a member of the Cleveland Latin American Mission Team in El Salvador and continues involvement there as a member of COAR Peace Mission Board in support of a children’s village. She has served as pastoral minister at Epiphany Catholic Church, St. Cecilia Parish, as non-profit director of the Thea Bowman Center, and on the staff of the Ursuline Sophia Center. She is a founding member of the Interreligious Task Force on Central America, a National Council Member for Pax Christi USA & its Anti-Racism Team, and a member of the International inter-Ursuline ministries.
